I woke up with a headache. I looked over to the tiny alarm clock next to my bed and saw it was ten in the morning. Groaning, I rolled out of bed and slumped downstairs, where Jeanie and Mark were reading the paper and drinking tea.
“Hello, darling,” Jeanie said, beaming up at me from across the room. “Tea?”
Rubbing my eyes, I nodded and mumbled a, “Morning,” to them. Jeanie hopped up...
I think I will call the new story Curby’s Calling (CC for short). I’m not sure why yet. But I like the sound of it so…I’ll make it work.
